Distinctive Ring - Grandstream GXP2130/2140/2160
 

Distinctive Ring can be set up on Grandstream GXP2130/2140/2160 phones. This can be used to help the user distinguish a call from the outside versus an internal call.

Matching Rules

If internal extensions are three digit numbers and all start with 2, then the following rule can be created and added to the GXP phone.

  • XXX - This will work with 3-digit numbers.
  • [2]xx - This will work with 3-digit numbers with the leading with digit 2.

 

If a range of numbers is needed, for example 300-599 the following rule can be used.

  • [345]xx - This will work with 3-digit numbers with the leading digit of 3, 4, or 5. 

 

If a range of numbers is needed from 600-999, then the following rule can be used.

  • [6-9]xx - This will work with 3-digit numbers with the leading digit from 6 to 9.

 

If a specific number needs it's own distinctive ring, it can also be entered. 

  • 18005551234 - A specified number.

 

Configure Distinctive Ring

To configure distinctive ring, go to Accounts --> Select the acount (Account 1) --> Call Settings. There are three available spaces to enter "Matching Rules". Once the matching rule has been entered, select a custom ring tone (1, 2, or 3). Click Save and Apply.
